Tema graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree. She received her doctorate in Osteopathic Manual Practice from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in 2001. She has completed courses in Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NDT) Treatment, as well as advanced and baby NDT treatment, lower extremity and foot development and intervention, seating, joint mobilization and various other forms of manual therapy.

Tema has served in a number of professional, government and public advocacy organizations. She has taught numerous courses and workshops across the country for university students, other therapists and general audiences. She currently teaches paediatric osteopathy across Canada for the Canadian College of Osteopathy. She was recently involved in a comprehensive research project sponsored by the HSC Foundation and CAM Research investigating the Beliefs, Knowledge, and Behaviours of Chiropractors, Naturopaths and Osteopaths with the Paediatric Population in their Practice.

Tema has over 35 years experience as a practicing therapist at major paediatric facilities in Toronto and Vancouver, and as a department head. In 1989, Tema was awarded the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Margaret Finley-Vlatcher Memorial award for excellence for her contribution to clinical treatment and management of children with special needs.

Tema specializes in birth, neonatal and childhood issues as well as the assessment and treatment of children with orthopaedic and neurological problems. She puts emphasis on the linking of structure and function.

She is a member of WOHO and the American Academy for Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology. She is registered with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy and a member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners.


Doreen Hilliard

Doreen graduated with a diploma in Physical and Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto and then earned a Bachelor of Occupational therapy Degree from the University of Manitoba. She has completed courses in basic and baby Neurodevelopmental Therapy and attended many instructional seminars including courses on lower extremity and foot biomechanics, various forms of manual therapy, and development of oral motor function and feeding skills, and seating. Doreen received her Doctorate in Osteopathic Manual Practice from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in 2004 and was a winner of the William Garner Sutherland Award for excellence.

Doreen has over 35 years experience as a physical and occupational therapist practicing in a variety of settings – rehabilitation centres, schools, and in the community as a member of a multidisciplinary early intervention team. Her areas of interest within the field of occupational therapy include evaluation and treatment of developmental co-ordination problems and handwriting and other fine motor difficulties. As a physical therapist and osteopathic practitioner, Doreen has worked with children of all ages with a variety of neurological and orthopaedic conditions.

She is registered with the Ontario Colleges of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy and is a member and on the Board of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners.

Sharon Fullerton

Sharon Fullerton

Paediatric physical and occupational therapist
Certified yoga instructor

A graduate from the University of Toronto P & OT, Sharon has over 35 years of experience as a paediatric physiotherapist with training in basic, baby and advanced Neurodevelopmental therapy, Cranial Sacral level 2, myofascial, strain/counterstrain, MEDEK level 2.

Sharon is also a certified Yoga Instructor having just received the OYA-R designation. She has completed 2 levels of the Yoga for the Special Child with Sonia Sumar in the USA. Combining this experience with her yoga training, Sharon is now offering yoga for special needs children.

She is registered with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy.


Andrea Lugowski Aeberhardt

Andrea Lugowski Aeberhardt

Osteopathic manual practitioner

Andrea graduated from the European School of Osteopathy with an honours science degree in Osteopathy and is continually developing her osteopathic skills through post graduate training. Andrea’s special interests include paediatric and obstetric osteopathic treatment of women’s issues, systemic illness, trauma, and functional chronic pain.

Andrea is a member and on board of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners.


Pauline Poinas

Pauline graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, England with a Bachelor of Science honours degree in osteopathy. She is registered with the OAO, GOSC, and WOHO. She has taken post graduate courses in pre and postnatal care and children with special needs

She works with children of all ages, adults and pregnant women.

Pauline’s past experience in a children and family clinic in Dublin, Ireland and her work as a volunteer in an orphanage in Peru, made her choose Footprints Therapy to continue to practice osteopathy and help her patients.

She is a member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners.


Samara Stein

Samara graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Life Sciences. She then completed her studies at the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. Samara is now working as an osteopathic manual practitioner having graduated from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in 2008 with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice. She has a great interest in working with infants, adolescents and adults, specializing in birth trauma, pregnancy and mental health issues.

She is registered with the Ontario College of Massage Therapists and is a member and on the Board of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners.


Kevin Stocker

Kevin graduated from York University’s Schulich School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He then obtained a diploma in Massage Therapy and became a Registered Massage Therapist. Kevin obtained his Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in 2009.

Kevin has worked in a variety of multi-disciplinary clinical settings over the past decade. He has tutored osteopathic students and has assisted both at the Canadian College of Osteopathy and the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. He works part-time at the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario where he is responsible for overseeing the content development and execution of the entry to practice certification examinations.

Kevin’s interests include paediatrics, obstetrics, systemic illness, acute and chronic pain treatment. He is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario Association, and is a member and on the board of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners


Leigh Anne Stone

Leigh Anne has worked in paediatrics for over 24 years. She graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree in Physiotherapy. She has completed her Neurodevelopmental Treatment Certificate and has taken a variety of post-graduate courses in orthopaedics, orthotics, post-surgical management, feeding, seating, electrical stimulation, MEDEK, Kinesiotaping and manual therapy. She is trained in the application of the Theratogs Suit and for the paediatric client. Specific manual therapy courses have included mobilization, myofascial release, Cranial Sacral therapy, strain/counterstrain, visceral mobilization, and mechanical link. Leigh Anne has varied experience working in hospital, clinic, home and school settings with children with gross motor delays, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, sport injuries, and coordination disorders. Leigh Anne is an ADP authorizer for wheelchairs, mobility devices and orthoses.

She is registered with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy.


Jennifer MacEachern

Jennifer graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree in Physiotherapy. She brings with her valuable knowledge from her previous degree in Physical Education, also from McMaster University. She has completed post graduate courses in MEDEK, Neurodevelopmental Therapy, electrical stimulation, feeding, seating, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Kinesiotaping and soft tissue release. Jennifer has extensive experience working in clinic, home, school, and hospital settings with clients with a number of conditions including neurological, orthopaedic, cardio respiratory, burns and health promotion. She is an ADP authorizer.

She is registered with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy.


Mia Pidsadny

Paediatric Physical Therapist

Mia graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Physical Therapy. She has completed courses in Neurodevelopmental Therapy, myofascial release and Kinesiotaping and is an ADP authorizer. Mia has over 15 years experience working in paediatrics in various settings including the Cardiac,Heart and Lung Transplant programmes at the Hospital for Sick children, the Neurodevelopmental Programme at Bloorview Kids Rehab and 2 years of overseas work in Zimbawe.

She is registered with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy


Vanessa Mascarenhas

Vanessa Mascarenhas

Paediatric Physical Therapist

Vanessa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She had been working with the paediatric population and has taken postgraduate courses in developmental paediatrics, rheumatology, the treatment of amputees, chronic pain, Neurodevelopmental Therapy and MEDEK. Vanessa has taken manual therapy courses in myofascial release and Cranial Sacral Therapy. She is an APT authorizer and a GMFM tester.

Vanessa has worked in a variety of settings including, clinic, home, and community settings. She volunteered as a physiotherapist in India

She is registered with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy.


Lizna Husnani-Puchta

Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Lizna graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science.

She has completed post graduate courses in feeding, oral motor development, Handwriting without Tears, Sensory Integration and Kinesiotaping. She is an ADP authorizer for high tech vision aids.

Over the years, Lizna has developed an interest in the treatment of fine motor delays, feeding, oral motor difficulties and computer access for children who are visually and/or physically impaired.

She is registered with the Ontario College of Occupational Therapy.


Sarah-Jane White

Naturopath

Dr. Sara-Jane White completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) at the University of Western Ontario in 1993. After deciding to focus on Natural Medicine Dr. White enrolled at the University of Toronto to complete the prerequisites required for Naturopathic College. She graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2003 and is licensed to practice as a Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario.

Since 2003 Dr. White has been specializing in treating children and infants. Her interest in this area was spurred by her eldest daughter who suffers from Rett Syndrome, a neurological disorder in the Autism spectrum. She specializes in allergies, asthma, excema as well as the needs of exceptional children afflicted with autism, Rett Syndrome and the physically challenged. She has attended conferences on these disorders throughout North America.

She has also spent time working on research projects investigating pædiatric neurodevelopmental conditions at The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

In addition to paediatrics, Dr. White also treats adults for a number of conditions and is a licensed live blood cell analyst and administers I.V. therapies for cancer, arthritis to name only a few ailments. She is licensed to perform acupuncture and she is a registered practitioner with the Healthy and Active weight loss system (www.healthy-active.com).

Dr. White is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors where she served on its Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Canadian Naturopathic Association. She lives in Scarborough with her husband and two daughters.

Office Manager

Anne has been with Footprints since 1991 as the Office Manager and chief gate keeper. In that time, Anne has helped steer the practice from a partnership of two owners and one part time physiotherapist to the thriving multidisciplinary practice of today

No matter how busy she is, Anne welcomes each and every person who comes through our doors with her wonderful smile and warm personality. The constant flow of clients is what engages Anne and their satisfaction is what makes her day worthwhile.

Tawni is new to Footprints. She is very excited to be joining the practice and looks forward to working with the amazing professionals and families that make up Footprints team.

Leigh Ann can be found manning the front desk on Saturdays and pinch hitting when needed. She manages to find time to help out at Footprints despite her busy schedule in law school.
